About Irit...

Since Irit learned to read and write at school she's writing songs, so far about 300. Most of the songs in her new album "The Sound I've Been Looking For" were written over the past 7 years. Those years were filled with new experiences, Irit was able to visit different places around the world and meet a great variety of people, which all intensified the inspiration for song writing.

The songs of the present album were written during her army service, a trip to India , a time of studies in England , after many talks to friends, during her own struggles in the life of faith, as a result of finding answers and meaning in God. Some of the lyrics grew out of pain, sadness and confusion, others are the fruit of joy, and all are according to God's will and direction and for His glory. He is the source of Irit's life and faith. She came to know Jesus as her personal Savior at age 17.

In August 2004, Irit produced her first single entitled "Linking Up With You" with 2 songs. Both are included in the new album "The Sound I've Been Looking For". God in His timing provided the exact amount of money for recording 10 more songs, so now there is an album of 12. All of them are in Hebrew, but musically they are influenced by different styles: Rock, Pop, Jazz, Blues and Latin.

Irit's vision is to keep singing, both at live concerts and on CDs, and to be a tool used by God to reach and direct people to Jesus.

Irit's prayer is to remain focused always on the One who is the inspiration and source of her songs: Jesus. To Him be the glory!
