About Irit's faith...
"If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9, the New Testament).
The greatest pain is the pain of sin. The moment I realize that there is sin in my life, that I am a sinner by birth ("I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin my mother conceived me" – Psalm 51:5), and that I cannot get rid of that sin by my own power, I become aware of my need for help. Jesus is God, who came down to earth in flesh, to die as a sacrifice for my sin (this may sound very "Christian" to many of us, but it is a Biblical principle). Jesus is the only one who could do this, thereby opening the door for all human beings to enter into a relationship with God himself.
A person who believes that Jesus is the only Way, Truth, Life and Messiah – any one who lives his or her life for the glory of Jesus and serves Him – this person is a Christian, a son or daughter of the living God.
Jesus is not the "God of the Christians". He does not want tradition, religion or people's "do"s and "don't do"s. Jesus is the promised Messiah according to the Jewish prophets and the Law, the Torah. He came to save from sin and its results all those who believe, as is written: "every one who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Gentile." (Romans 1:16).
God wants my heart, honesty and the true understanding that I am a sinner and need Jesus in my life to transform my heart, fill me, change me, so I will live my life by faith in Him. "He died for all, so that they who live might no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died and rose again on their behalf" (2 Corinthians 5:15 ).
